A growing business called Petaluma Stand Up Paddle has opened up what used to be a treat for the owner’s wine club members to anyone looking to try out the sport.

Petaluma is a premier place to paddle board, with several paddle routes that make for stunning settings, said Drew Dickson, the business’s owner. In addition to beautiful views, paddle boarders can ride the wind & tide of the Petaluma Gap almost every afternoon.

Stand up paddle boarding is the fastest-growing sport in the world right now, and for good reason. It’s a sport that is easy to learn, and individuals of all ages and skill levels can benefit from the numerous health benefits and enjoyment that it offers.

Buying a paddle board is definitely an investment, however, and newcomers to the sport often want to rent a few times before taking the plunge and buying their own board. This is a smart decision, and Petaluma SUP can set you up with a high-quality SUP rental, instructional classes, and guided paddling tours.
